The armour being impact-tested above is RHEON™ — the same active-polymer protection you get with the Armour Upgrade.

Both options are CE Level 2 certified — the higher of the two impact ratings. Every shirt ships fully protected as standard. The upgrade is about how the armour feels and performs, not whether you're covered.

Description

The Overland™ Armored Shirt combines flannel styling with serious protection. Its yarn-dyed shell looks casual off the bike but houses CE-certified armor and abrasion-resistant Kevlar® inside. Designed for riders who need strength without bulk, and comfort that doesn't quit.

Care Instructions

  • Remove Armor
  • Wash in a 30 degree cold wash(short cycle) using a non detergent/bleach powder such as Oxyclean, this is to protect the Kevlar from shrinking. 
  • Dry Flat, do not tumble dry
  • Iron at a low to medium warm temperature

Once I dialed in my size, they fit perfect… I didn’t care for the vented front version so traded them for the hydro version… much better looking and fitting. As stated in the description, if you’re over 6’2” you will need the tall shirt option. Other than that, true to size even with the pads in. Boot cut bottoms leave just enough room for 12” shaft boots. Being mail order though, free returns for exchanges would be nice (especially given the price of the individual items). Haven’t worn on the road yet but they seem like they’ll function great (fit and comfort). Hope to never test the protection effectiveness. Will be interesting to see how they hold up to repeated washing and drying…

Overland™ Armored Shirt

In short, I love it! It fits great, perfectly matching the sizing chart. It is very comfortable and breathes well. I can't say that I was not a little warm in it on a hot day, but I was not hot in it and I wasn't covered in sweat. The material feels strong and protective. It gives me the feeling like I won't be losing skin if I were to go down. Overall, I am very happy with the product. My only disappointment was in the amount of time it took to be delivered to me. The quality of the product soon made me forget that though.

Overland™ Armored Shirt

Fits great. I’m a lean individual at 5’11” and 155lbs but this large jacket fits well with enough room for layers underneath when needed. It feels heavy like a leather jacket when held in the hands but very light and flexible when worn. Armor fits where it should and I love the zipper/snap combo and all the pockets. The collar being able to secure with snaps is a nice touch and works well not to get slapped in the wind. Can’t speak for protection, luckily haven’t had to try that out.
